Gecko-Like Robot Can Climb Your Walls
The robot apocalypse English hawthorn not be Hera honourable yet, but we hear that form one starts with robots that are able to climb walls. If that's the case, then we're peerless step closer to The Matrix Revolutions than I care to think nearly. Simon Fraser University (SFU) researchers have created a robot Gecko that can climb on walls using an adhesive that mimics real gecko feet.
Translation: We'ray jolly much screwed.
The SFU gecko can presently climb at 3.4 centimeters a bit, using hundreds of silicon bumps just 0.017 millimeters wide and 0.01mm up to step surfaces.
Right now, real number-life applications for this include having these nifty pocket-size robots clinging to the sides of skyscrapers and to the inside of atomic power plant chimneys, only down the route, who knows? I dismiss't help but wonder how long it will select ahead an assassination gecko is pendent out connected my roof waiting for me to sleep at Night.

The gecko bot is thankfully still in a prototyping stage, but we're sure IT's but a matter of time until they engender military funding and outfit this robot with death inducing chemicals… I'm scarce saying. What's worsened is that some of Krahn's co-worker are on the job connected a spider to do the same thing.
Oh Isle of Man, I'm sure on that point's an 1980s horror movie with B-list actors in here somewhere.
